The screen, while small, gives you direct access to options and settings and is fast and easy to navigate. It’s just really well thought out and boosts the use and workflow of the Gimbal. The Crane M3 is great looking gimbal; its small size and power make it a formidable filmmaking tool that will suit all sorts of videographers and photographers. It’s not just the style of the bag that doesn’t feel right for the Pro Kit. While it is nicely made, it doesn’t fit all the kits. The microphone is longer than the height of the bag, so it doesn’t fit in.

Few things in life frustrate me more than trying to balance a gimbal. However, after I psyched myself up to balance my camera on the Zhiyun Crane-M3 I found that this is one of the easiest gimbals to balance.

In this post we are going to talk about Zhiyun Crane M3 vs Zhiyun Crane M2S and which you should be your next travel partner.

If you're a videographer who works with multiple devices, this gimbal would be a good choice – but if you are looking for something that is easier to balance (which is especially important if you change lenses a lot) there are better options out there. While the size of the handle is nice, the sliding axis feels a little small to deal with some of the bigger cameras it's compatible with. The M3's internal battery charges via a USB-C port. It's good for up to eight hours of runtime, though real-world results will vary depending on the camera weight and how well it balances, as well as your use of the M3's video light. The expansion port, included with the Pro kit, attaches to the bottom of the handle for a little extra extension, an extra 1/4-inch accessory mounting point, and a 1/4-inch mic input Gimbals help remove undesirable shake or wobble from your videos, which has made them popular with YouTubers and vloggers who are looking to step up their video production quality. And while Zhiyun isn't quite as big a name as DJI in the field, the Chinese manufacturer certainly isn't far off –particularly with offerings like the Crane-M2S.The expansion base for the gimbal (included with the Pro Kit option) has a receiver built-in, which can be paired with the transmitter module for wireless control of cameras via Bluetooth where supported, e.g. to trigger your camera's shutter button. Once the camera is in place, the usual adjustments can be made to the axis balances for the X, Y and Z. Maybe because of the small size; these adjustments are really easy. I found balancing the M3 a relatively simple process. Balancing the phone (iPhone 11 Pro) or action camera ( Akaso Brave 8) proved just how straightforward the process was. Stabilising a mirrorless camera Its size is also less obtrusive than a bigger body pro gimbal, which makes the M3 a good choice for holidays, public spaces, reportage and street photography/videography days. It folds down neatly to fit into almost any day bag and doesn't weigh too much (around 700g), so it's comfortable enough to always have with you. Once you have the hang of the balancing process for your camera hardware, you should be able to whip the M3 out and start shooting in a matter of minutes.
